Norine K. Hammond was appointed on Dec 9, 2010 to fill the vacancy of the late Representative Rich Myers.  In 2013, Representative Hammond was reelected and sworn in as the State Representative for 93rd district, which includes all or parts of Brown, Cass, Fulton, Knox, Mason, McDonough, Schuyler, and Warren Counties.

Rep. Hammond has been a constant advocate for agriculture and improving Illinois’ education system.  As a gun owner and member of the NRA, she is a strong Second Amendment supporter.  She believes that in order to improve the Illinois economy we must put in place strong spending reforms and make changes to our worst in the nation workers’ compensation laws.

Represenative Mike Tryon was born in Terra Haute, Indiana, on July 31, 1955. He graduated from from Indiana State University in 1978 with a degree in Environmental Health Science.

Mike represents the 66th District that includes portions of McHenry and Kane Counties. He first came to the district to take a job with the McHenry County Health Department after graduating from college. State Representative John Anthony is a full-time legislator who previously served his community as a Law Enforcement Officer since 2005 when he joined the Champaign Police Department.  In 2008 John joined the Kendall County Sheriff’s Department where he served as a Deputy Sheriff.

John was awarded the Ervin H. Warren “Cop of the Future” award given to police officers who show strong leadership under duress and maintain integrity and character.  Continuing his desire to serve the local community, John and his wife, Deborah, began a non-for-profit charity organization called YARN.  The YARN Foundation seeks to strengthen families hand help children by providing educational programs and scholarships. Ron Sandack is the State Representative for the 81st District, serving Bolingbrook, Downers Grove, Darien, Lisle, Naperville, Westmont, and Woodridge.

Before serving in the House, he was appointed to complete the term of former State Senator Dan Cronin in November of 2010. Upon taking the oath to serve the 21st District in the State Senate, Sen. Sandack immediately declined all state benefits associated with the position; including health insurance and participation in the legislative pension program. State Rep. Barbara Wheeler represents the 64th Legislative District in the Illinois House of Representatives.

Rep. Wheeler has spent her entire adult life in public service, starting as volunteer for the United States Peace Corps. She later served as a school teacher at Wauconda Middle School and was elected to the McHenry County Board in 2002. As a Board Member, Barbara’s top priorities were conservation and fiscal responsibility. She was awarded the Theta Award from the McHenry County Environmental Defenders for her conservation agenda. State Representative Renée Kosel, of New Lenox, Illinois, is currently serving her ninth term as State Representative of the 37th Legislative District, previously the 81st District.  She was first elected to her legislative office on November 5, 1996 and took office in January, 1997.  In January, 2013, she was reappointed to serve as Assistant House Republican Leader.

Tim Schmitz, a fourth generation resident of Kane County and lifelong resident of Batavia fostered his commitment to public service from an early age. Tim has served on the Batavia Plan Commission, as an Alderman and was a Policy Analyst for the Illinois House of Representatives.

Tim received his degree in Public Administration and Political Science from Augustana College where he met his wife, Julianne. Tim and Julianne reside in Batavia with their children, Alex and Ryan. In addition to the commitments of being a husband, father, and State Representative, Tim remains a firefighter and emergency medical technician, a position he has held since 1984. State Representative Sandra Pihos was elected to the General Assembly in 2002 and is serving her sixth term in office. She has been a resident of Glen Ellyn for 41 years, has taught both elementary and middle school, and worked as a high school guidance counselor. She served on the Glenbard District 87 school board for 10 ½ years ending her tenure as president. In addition, she held the position of vice president of Pihos Enterprises, a restaurant management firm, from 1993-2000.

State Representative Patti Bellock serves the people of the 47th District in DuPage County. She was appointed Deputy Minority Leader in October 2013, her assignments include serving as Chief Budget Negotiator for the House Republicans, Minority Spokeswoman on the Human Services Appropriations Committee and a member of the Mass Transit and Labor and Commerce Committees.

For many years she has been a community activist in education, juvenile justice, healthcare, developmental disabilities and mental health issues. She is also an advocate of tougher laws on domestic violence, terrorism, drug trafficking and sexual predators on the internet.

Her landmark legislation: Smart Act, legislation reforming the Illinois Medicaid system bills requiring mental health parity, MRSA infection control, improving the Amber Alert system and strengthening child support in Illinois have been recognized on a national level. 

Last session, she co-sponsored legislation to create jobs in Illinois, repeal taxes on business, address the state's health care system and reform the Medicaid system. Recently she has worked on model legislation regarding school food allergy guides, a drug repository for low-income individuals and has hosted town hall meetings on Illinois pension and budget issues.
