Abraham Lincoln, born on February 12, 1809, near Hodgenville, Kentucky, emerged from humble beginnings to become one of the most revered figures in American history. His rise from a simple frontier life to the highest office in the nation was marked by perseverance, intellect, and an unwavering commitment to justice. As the 16th President of the United States, Lincoln led the nation through its darkest period, the Civil War, and played a critical role in ending slavery.
