Meanwhile, Back in the District

In the first half of the year, lawmakers spend a lot of time in Springfield during the legislative session and not as much as they would like in their districts. So, it is important when they are home in their districts to make the most of every minute available to connect with people in their communities.

State Representative Jason Bunting is doing just that, making the most of every day he is home in the 106th District.  Over the last few days he met with local village presidents, mayors, administrators, and county board chairmen to update them on the upcoming legislative session and more important, get their input, hear their concerns and consider their suggestions.

He went from working with local government officials to teaching government and civics to high school juniors and seniors at Watseka High School. “One of my favorite aspects of being a State Representative is that I get to educate constituents of all ages,” commented Rep. Bunting.

Residents of the 106th District are sure to see Rep. Bunting throughout the district educating and listening to constituents and bringing their voices back to the state Capitol.
